Dual vocational school

Dual Vocational School - DBOS

Extra-occupational for advanced technical college entrance qualification.

How do I become a student at DBOS?By completing the qualified secondary school leaving certificate I (middle school leaving certificate) and completing at least two years of vocational training - also in a healthcare profession - or training as a civil servant in the middle service or graduating from an internal higher vocational school or the Qualification from a technical school of at least two years. What does the DBOS do for me? It imparts interdisciplinary knowledge and thus contributes to the expansion of skills and personal development. In addition, the visit gives me the entrance qualification for a university of applied sciences. How does the DBOS work? The individual subjects are divided into learning modules. In order to acquire the advanced technical college entrance qualification, in addition to the advanced technical college entrance qualification examination, the individual learning modules must be completed and documented in the qualification pass. Learning modules that have already been completed in other types of school (part-time vocational school, higher vocational school) can be counted in the DBOS and lead to a shorter attendance at the DBOS.

The qualification pass

The qualification pass is a document that is used throughout Rhineland-Palatinate. Every pupil with a qualified lower secondary qualification who attends the FHRU, the higher vocational school and the dual vocational school receives a qualification pass in the form of a four-page folded sheet and is handed it out. The qualification pass accompanies you throughout your school attendance at vocational schools. In addition, the qualification pass is the basis for determining the preliminary grades for admission to the Fachhochschulreife examination. Thanks to the country-wide, uniform documentation of the qualification pass, switching between vocational schools is easy.
